SPEEDING UP PLAY
Two phrases sum up good pace of play - Be Prepared and Be Ready! Good pace of play not only increases
enjoyment of the game, it can actually improves one's game. Standing around on every shot allows the
muscles to cool down or limbs to stiffen up. A brisk pace can help keep a golfer loose and ready to play.
Use the groups ahead of you and behind you to gauge your pace. If the group in front of you is pulling
away from you, you're probably behind. If the group behind you is waiting for you to hit, you're probably
behind. For more information see the tips listed under Speeding Up Play in the Main Links section.
